Shagun hands Sumeet a pen and paper, giving her a strict two-minute time limit. With haste, she scribbles a name on the paper and passes it to Raj and Shlok. Together, they read it and Shlok confidently strides onto the plank above fiery coals. Anju informs Masoom that Sumeet has chosen Shlok while Shagun and Masoom tease her for seemingly sacrificing her brother. Unaffected, Sumeet asserts that both her relationships are strong. Meanwhile, Raj is seen walking on his hands instead of his feet. In a flashback, it is revealed that this was Sumeet’s decision in order to let Shlok walk on two feet while Raj walked on his hands.
Despite being furious at her failure, Shagun’s family members start clapping in support of Shlok and Raj, who succeed. Since Raj is using his hands rather than his feet on the plank, Sumeet points out that they are following Shagun’s rules. She credits the idea to a childhood photo album. Despite Raunak’s best efforts, Sumeet pushes him away in frustration.
Both Shlok and Raj are able to safely descend from the plank, and the family cheers them on. Sumeet pushes Shagun toward the fire, but holds her by one hand, telling her to cross the plank if she wants to be saved. Raunak panics and urges Shagun to comply. Sumeet ultimately relents and moves Shagun away from the fire, reminding her that selfish people like Raunak do not suffer from Shagun’s death.
Sumeet shares a heartfelt poem about relationships, prompting the family members to encircle an applauding Shagun. The following day, Shlok discovers a smoldering pot hanging on the door when he opens it. He attributes it to Shagun and coughs from the smoke. As she arrives, Shagun cautions them that failure in the upcoming task will result in sadness and despair. She discloses that Shlok and Sumeet must climb a human pyramid to break the pot and vaguely alludes to a sixth task involving Janmashtami celebrations. With a playful wink, she bids farewell and leaves them to prepare for their challenge.
Poonam is shocked when she receives a white saree from Shagun. A flashback shows Poonam hiding the truth about her widowhood. Shlok scolds Shagun for making such a bad joke, and Sumeet wonders why she gave Poonam a white saree and a simple task. Shlok tells Sumeet that Shagun must have a hidden agenda, leaving them both puzzled, saying don’t worry, we’ll find out the truth. Ashok suggests Shlok should not reveal the truth.
