Suhaagan 23rd July 2024 Written Episode begins with Dhwani telling Koel that nothing happened between Swara and Vedant on their wedding night. She points out that Swara’s lipstick, bindi and clothes were still intact. Koel smiles at her words. Meanwhile, Indu tells Naina to put on a happy face when her friends come to visit. She forbids Naina from cooking before the shuddhikaran ceremony and arranges food from outside, asking Naina to pretend as if she made it herself.

Swara begins the day by playing the shank and performing aarti. Rudra praises her devotion, while Vrinda reminds her that today is her Annapurna rasoi test. When asked what dish she will prepare, Dhwani quickly answers on her behalf. Manju taunts that Swara might serve burnt or raw food. Vrinda, however, calls Swara sarvagunn sampann, which makes Koel stare her down into silence. Swara then goes to give prasad to Dadi and finds a diary, which turns out to be a recipe book.

Later, the family sits down for food. As Swara unveils the dishes, Rudra is reminded of the time Prabha had served them. Everyone tastes the food, and Vedant praises Swara’s cooking. But instead of being pleased, Rudra grows furious. He throws a glass of water and demands to know how Swara dared to make such food. Shocked, Swara stays silent.

Manju mocks her, saying it is impossible to understand a mute daughter-in-law. Vedant defends Swara, reminding Rudra that he usually appreciates even his smallest efforts. Koel intervenes, offering him water. Rudra suddenly softens, apologises to Swara, and admits the food reminded him of someone he wants to forget forever. When asked how she learned the dishes, Swara brings out the recipe book she found in Dadi’s room.

Seeing the diary, Rudra becomes emotional and reveals it belonged to Vedant’s biological mother, who he claims ruined their family and abandoned little Vedant. He orders that food from this diary should never be made again. Dhwani seizes the chance to taunt Swara. Koel insists she is Vedant’s true mother, as she raised him, while Rudra praises her for handling the house. Dhwani quietly realises Koel is his stepmother and thinks this is why she wanted Swara as Vedant’s wife.

Koel attempts to burn the diary, but Swara rushes forward and stops her. Through Dhwani, Swara apologises for cooking from it but requests them not to burn it, arguing that destroying the diary would insult Goddess Saraswati. She promises it will never come before them again. Koel refuses to eat the food, and Rudra declares he also cannot eat it, saying it tastes like poison. He decides that since it is Swara’s first rasoi, they will all only eat the kheer. Vedant then requests everyone not to discuss his mother again, as he hates her memory.
