Akeer presents Sahiba’s puppet to Gurnoor and requests her to keep it safe until he can build a time machine and reunite with her. He plans to search for his mother with Gurnoor by his side. Gurnoor assures Akeer that she will always be there for him, in good times and bad. Angad also wants to talk to his mother, but Manveer interrupts and insists on speaking with Gurnoor first. She expresses her lack of trust in Gurnoor despite Angad’s faith in her. She warns that if Gurnoor harms Akeer, she won’t hesitate to take action. Manveer explains to Angad that when Gurnoor eventually breaks his trust, he will understand the significance of his mother’s words. As the seniors disperse, everyone goes their separate ways.
Angad expresses his gratitude to Gurnoor and offers an apology. In response, Gurnoor remarks that it seems Angad believes he has harmed her. Angad questions whether Gurnoor is staying due to external pressure rather than her free will. Gurnoor firmly states that she is remaining for the sake of Akeer, and no one can influence her decisions; she follows her moral compass. Keerat acknowledges Gurnoor’s decision as correct and points out that the principal’s call caused all the commotion.
According to Garry, Gurnoor should investigate the source of the incorrect information given to the principal. However, Gurnoor dismisses the issue and would rather not talk about it, choosing to move forward. Angad expresses gratitude for her decision to stay and help Akeer and reminds her that he believes in her, as his mother suggested. Gurnoor silently prays that she never betrays anyone’s trust.
Manveer expresses to her family that she remains displeased with Angad’s choice and has not changed her stance on Gurnoor. Manveer should understand the gravity of her words when she speaks to Keerat in such an appalling manner. In response, Manveer tries to empathize with Keerat but points out that Gurnoor is merely her sister’s doppelganger, not a blood relative. Upon Gurnoor’s return to her room, she muses that Angad had defied his mother to protect her. She worries that the principal may have told Beeja about her job at the Brar mansion, which would explain why Beeja had followed Simran and ended up at the market the other day. Gurnoor realizes she does not want to return to that terrible place but cannot betray Angad and Akeer’s trust. Just then, the maid approaches her, and Gurnoor quickly hides Sahiba’s passport behind her back. The maid reassures Gurnoor not to pay attention to Manveer’s harsh words as he is kind-hearted. She also informs Gurnoor that Keerat is calling for her in her room.
As Angad gazes at Sahiba’s photograph, he can’t help but be struck by her unique qualities. He remembers their conversation about how he had always protected her from harm, and he realizes that she was right – it was through facing danger together that they grew closer. He also recalls the incident where Gurnoor held a burning coal and muses that perhaps the fire prevented her from leaving the house. As Gurnoor makes her way to Keerat’s room, Keerat requests to see her hand. Gurnoor then asks if she can predict the future.
Gurnoor admits she cannot foresee what lies ahead but can sense the suffering of others. She offers ointment and inquires if it brings relief. Gurnoor brushes it off, stating she is used to the discomfort and insists on handling it herself. Keerat empathizes with her pain and applies ointment to her injury. Manveer comments to Jasleen that Keerat appears to be becoming quite close with Gurnoor.
Jasleen believes that Manveer’s warning has clarified that no one would risk becoming friends with Gurnoor. Keerat offers a listening ear to Gurnoor, noticing that something seems to be bothering her. Gurnoor reflects on her actions of stealing Sahiba’s passport and denies any problems, citing Mr. Brar’s trust in her and the responsibility she was given for his son. She is determined not to make any mistakes or betray his trust.
Keerat reassures Gurnoor that she cannot make any mistakes and advises her not to worry too much about Angad’s lack of trust. Just then, Manveer enters with Jasleen and demands to know why Gurnoor is present. Gurnoor explains that Keerat invited her. However, Manveer reminds everyone that Gurnoor is merely an employee hired by Angad to care for Akeer and should not spend time in Keerat’s room like this.
Gurnoor playfully remarks that Manveer and Jasleen appeared while they were discussing them. Jasleen quips that they must be saying negative things about them. In response, Manveer clarifies that Jasleen is Gurnoor’s boss, not her mother-in-law. Gurnoor innocently asks when she ever said otherwise.
