The Inspector invites Manveer to join her family for questioning. She explains that the kidnappers have revealed a woman assisted them in abducting Simran. Hansraj suggests that the kidnappers may not be telling the truth, to which the Inspector responds that it’s a possibility. Akaal prompts if someone from their household could have helped the kidnappers. The Inspector agrees and adds that they haven’t found any evidence of forced entry, indicating a potential involvement of someone from the Brar residence in Simran’s abduction. Manveer becomes more agitated and mentions feeling unwell. Japjyoth chimes in, saying that Manveer is deeply worried about Simran’s well-being. To investigate further, the Inspector states that she needs to question their staff, specifically the female employees.
At the hospital cafeteria, Angad orders coffee and suggests that Sahiba goes home while he stays with Simran. She thanks him for putting aside their differences and always doing what’s right. Gratefully, she hugs him and expresses her pride in being his wife. Unbeknownst to them, Seerat watches from a distance. Curiously, Angad asks Sahiba how she managed to find the kidnappers’ location. She reveals that she enlisted the help of Veer’s tech-savvy friend who tracked the number the kidnappers called from on Akaal’s phone. However, there was a discrepancy between that number and their actual location, so they traced nearby numbers until they found the culprits’ whereabouts. Satisfied with her explanation, Angad suggests they bring some coffee for Inder before bidding him farewell. He then encourages Inder to go home with Sahiba and get some rest, reassuring him that he can return when he feels better. Inder feels touched by Angad’s concern for Simran and happily complies with his suggestion. As Sahiba and Inder leave together, Angad reminds her to bring his clothes when she returns – an offer which she gratefully accepts before walking away with
As Angad sits on the bench, he begins to feel drowsy. Seerat notices and offers her shoulder as a support. This immediately snaps Angad out of his sleepy state and he questions why she is there. Seerat then asks him if there’s anything wrong with her offering assistance. Angad responds by asking what exactly she did that was wrong. Seerat explains that he seemed upset with her for something she said while under the influence of alcohol. Tearfully, she reminds Angad of her unfortunate past – a husband who left her and a friend who ended their friendship because of her intoxicated confession. Moved by her emotional distress, Angad pleads that she not disclose anything to Sahiba, Simran’s sister, as she wouldn’t condone such behavior.
Inspector questions female staff Sukhdeep and suspects her. Sahiba enters and stops him from interrogating her. Inspector asks who she is. Akaal says she is Angad’s wife and Brar family’s elder DIL. Inspector says they are sure that a female member helped kidnappers. Sahiba says they cannot doubt poor staff and humiliate them. Akaal is taken aside by her, and she says employees work for them 24/7, so they can humiliate them.
They agree and Akaal asks the inspector to wait while they work out the terms. Sahiba asks Inder to rest in his room. Jaspal asks how his injury is. Inder says it is minor. Japjyoth is concerned when he sees his blood stained shirt. He says Angad saved him in time after he got injured in a tussle with the kidnapper. He says he feels more pain because he was unable to protect his daughter.
