Maaya requested Anupama to decorate her hands with mehendi, as Little Anu had complimented her skills. However, the rest of the family stares at her disapprovingly. Explaining that all professional mehandi artists are occupied, Maaya suggests that Anupama simply write Anuj’s name on her hand instead. In addition, she asks Little Anu to also include their names on Anuj’s hand. Excitedly, Little Anu agrees and Dolly points out that Anupama doesn’t normally apply mehandi on everyone’s hands. She instructs the professional designer Jalpa to take over and decorate Maaya’s hand with mehendi. Maaya then specifically asks Jalpa to also write Anuj’s name on her hand. Making a snide remark, Leela says she could even add his glasses’ number and kundali on her hand if she wanted to. To add to the disappointment, another designer is called in to apply mehandi on Anupama’s hand instead of by herself. Amusingly, Little Anu ends up writing A M A on her own hand while the professional designer writes Anuj’s name on a disappointed Shah family staring at them
Hasmukh signals Samar, who suggests adding some fun to the function. Kinjal points out that there is also a sangeet planned for tonight which means hurrying with the mehendi ceremony. Anuj quickly wipes the letter “M” off his hand. Toshu catches Kinjal’s eye, leaving her feeling irritated. Maaya asks Anuj to write his name on her hand since he has already done so on hers. Anuj, glancing at Anupama, obliges, shocking everyone present. Dolly changes the subject, diverting everyone’s attention. Meanwhile, Anupama feels heartbroken and makes her way out of the room unnoticed. As Maaya and Barkha mockingly grin at each other, Kanta notices their suspicious behaviour. Trying to hold back tears, Anupama walks away in pain but vows not to react until she knows the truth. Unbeknownst to her, Anuj observes her from a distance and apologizes for his actions. Bhavesh notices Kanta’s worried expression and asks what happened. Kanta reveals how Barkha, Maaya, and Vanraj were exchanging secretive signals with each other and discussing something in hushed tones. Bhavesh agrees that
In the evening, the sangeet ceremony commences. Maaya takes a seat next to Anuj, beaming at Anupama. The event is being hosted by Kinjal and Ankush, who suggest playing antakshari and dancing to a song. Hasmukh, Leela, Kanta, and Bhavesh are the first ones to go onstage. They are given the letter M and must find a suitable song. Leela begins with a garba song before joining her team for a performance on “Mujhko Hui Na Khabar.” After their performance, Vanraj does their nazar with money, much to Kanta’s dismay. The audience praises their performance. Samar jokes that the elders are cooler than them. Bhavesh adds not to include him in the “elder” category. Maaya eagerly suggests going onstage now as she can’t wait to dance with Anuj. However, Barkha cautions her not to be too happy about her fate as things can change at any moment and reminds her not to underestimate Anupama’s abilities.
As the song “Ek Haseena Thi, Ek Deewana Tha” plays, Kinjal and Toshu gracefully dance together. Anuj and Anupama fondly reminisce about their recent meetings. Toshu holds Kinjal close as they twirl on the dance floor. Suddenly, Kinjal stops and declares she’s had enough. Concerned, Dolly inquires about her sudden exhaustion. Confirming that she’s been working since morning, Kinjal excuses herself from the dance. The rest of the party applauds her performance. An observant Anupama notices Kinjal’s fatigue and checks in on her well-being. Affirming that she’s fine, Kinjal walks away. Leela takes this opportunity to express her optimism that Toshu and Kinjal’s relationship will strengthen with a second child. However, Anupama reminds her that Pari is still young. Undeterred, Leela suggests that both children can grow up together. Next up on stage are Samar and Dimpy, who impress everyone with their moves. Feeling competitive, Toshu urges Samar to prove their superiority. Meanwhile, Kanta notices Barkha and Vanraj deep in conversation nearby.
