Ishan tells Savi that he became her mentor because he used to see himself in her, but she doesn’t deserve to be his mentee. He asks her to remove the Mauli/holi thread he tied on her right hand. Savi says he’s right that she doesn’t deserve to be his student, and he shouldn’t either. He just needs to be her teacher. Ishan fumes, recalling Durva’s provoking words. Baji calls Ishan.
Ishan scolds him for spending the entire night doing garba with Savi at every pandal. He specifically warns him that, as an ex-student, he should not be associating with current students, especially Savi. Baji questions his tendency to misinterpret situations and create false narratives. He explains that they had gone to Savi’s sister Harini’s house because her husband had been physically abusive and caused her to miscarry. Savi stayed with Harini the whole night while Kiran was punished. This information takes aback Ishan. Baji urges him to snap out of his habit of concocting stories and blaming others.
Savi starts solving the test paper in her classroom after recalling Bhavani and Ishan’s words. As Ishan imagines, Riva shows him a mirror and says he hasn’t really managed to get over his past. He always creates an imaginative story around himself, believing only he is right. He wrongly blames Savi, while Savi always tries to prove how important this college is to him. People in this college always trouble her. He hasn’t moved on and vents his frustration on Savi.
Ishan says he will prove that he has moved on and will forget Riva soon. As he walks to Savi, Ishan tells her she is here, and he is looking for her all over the college. Savi gives him an answer sheet and asks him to total up the answers. Ishan stands feeling guilty. She says he always hurts her without knowing why; she can’t stand it anymore; he’s just her teacher now, so he can’t be her mentor, etc.
Surekha calls Ishan and asks him to return home soon because Durva’s family will visit soon. Ishan reaches home. The marriage broker introduces the boy’s parents, who walk in with lots of gifts to impress the Bhosale family. She introduces them as Mr and Mrs Patil from Kolhapur. The boy’s father praises the Bhosale family and the hard work of Yashwant, who built the institute. The boy gets out of his car and gets back in his vehicle.
Savi strolls down the street, replaying Ishan’s harsh words in her mind. As she walks, Ashwini appears on a video call. Savi expresses her joy at seeing Ashwini’s face. Ashwini responds that Savi can’t hide her pain from her, as they are deeply connected. She then mentions that she spoke to Harini and learned about her struggles. Savi expresses sympathy for Harini, and Ashwini acknowledges that it’s only natural for Savi to care for her, considering she is Sai’s daughter. She then notes the similarities between Harini’s situation and Savi’s experience with Samrudh and their family intervening in their relationship. Savi speculates that Samrudh must have moved on and found someone else by now. Suddenly, a boy arrives at the Bhosale residence claiming to be Sam Patel but soon reveals himself as Samrudh and his parents.
