Shubh is consoled by Kavya as the episode begins. He says you were selected, I failed, my father is an IAS officer, so I will never become an IAS officer. She says listen to me once, you have talent. He says I’m feeling irritated, get away, don’t come close. He pushes her and says getaway. He leaves. She says you do something else. It’s easy to say, you leave me and do something else, you love me, right, it’s up to you, so choose between IAS or me.
She asked me if I should leave the exam since I had passed. He replies, “Then just leave me.” He accidentally shatters a flower pot and continues, “If you had passed and I had failed, would you do the same for me?” He adds on, “You still have three more attempts left, I would have helped you.” She clarifies, “That’s not my question. Would you give up this opportunity for me?” He firmly responds, “No, I can keep up with your pace but cannot follow behind. I cannot do that.” They argue back and forth. He finally states, “Either walk beside me or choose your career.” She breaks down in tears and questions him, “Why are you making this so difficult?” He eventually leaves the scene.
Kavya recalls her past moment with Shubh. Shubh’s dad checks their preparations and reads Kavya’s love letter for Shubh. He says right, I taught you this. His dad calls Gauri. Shubh smiles. Kavya gets shy. He stops her and says you’ve said it so easily, I thought you’d ask me not to waste your time with these things. She says it means you too… He says I love you too. She asks why you waited.
According to him, you have surpassed me. He helps her up. In his opinion, once you are by my side, I will easily achieve the title of Mr. and Mrs. IAS. She grins in response to his statement, and their flashback ends. Kavya’s ring slips off her finger as she hurries out of the room. As they make their way down the stairs, a man notices Shubh and Kavya. Shubh’s father addresses Kavya, expressing his confidence in her passing the exam on the first try and making her teacher proud. Kavya receives his blessings before he reminds her to savour this moment without any interruptions. He then congratulates her parents and encourages them to celebrate.
Kavya smiles seeing her family happy and dances with them. The guy tells Kavya’s brother everything.
Kavya’s parents come to him. Gauri says she passed, and Shubh failed. Shubh’s father says she worked hard, I taught both of them. He argues in anger. He leaves. Gauri says you should be worried about your son. Shubh’s dad says I am also sad, my dream broke, I must leave for Delhi now. Kavya talks to her parents. Upon arriving at her parents’ house, her brother informs her that Shubh has threatened her.
He argues. Kavya says I’m proud of you because you cleared IAS. He said Shubh told you to either choose him or IAS. Kavya says he was upset, I know his anger will calm down. She ties a thread to the ring. Kavya says I will talk to him. She takes her brother with her. Anjali says Shubh is our son-in-law, he told us he engaged with Kavya in anger, but he will calm down, and everything will be fine, right?
Shubh calls Kavya someplace. She shows her pics and surprises him. She says it’s not wrong if one dream is left incomplete, listen to me, you’re a software engineer, you can start your startup, I’m with you. In two years we’ll meet, have lunch on video calls, and fulfil all of our dreams. She sits on her knees. He says your knees will hurt, get up, are you hurt. She smiles.
When she asks him, he says he can’t do this, sorry, I can’t be called by your name. He leaves. She sobs.
