The episode commences when Jhanak’s Mama and Shrishti arrive to see Jhanak. Mamu reprimands her, while Shrishti acknowledges her as Urvashi’s daughter, Jhanak. Mama makes a snide remark about Urvashi, to which Jhanak defends her mother. Vinayak intervenes and suggests discussing the matter at home. He agrees with Jhanak’s stance of not involving her mother in the conversation. Shrishti adds that she has not said anything incorrect since everyone knows about Urvashi. Arshi consoles Jhanak, saying it’s alright. However, Jhanak clarified that it was not her fault. Despite this, Mama continues to scold her, but Rahul stands up for her, saying she works hard for everything she receives. Displeased, Mama decides to talk to Jhanak’s father and labels her as obstinate, while Shrishti insults her further.
Anirudh and Arshi are visibly concerned by the situation. Shrishti suggests that they leave, as the girl’s actions have ruined their plans. Jhanak breaks down in tears. Together, they all make their way out. Rahul decides to take the lead and says they should fill out the form for the festival. However, Jhanak worries that her mother won’t let her participate. Undeterred, Rahul assures her that he will convince her mother. The girl offers encouragement, saying they will show everyone how talented they are. With her support, Rahul urges Jhanak to come along with them. Amid this chaos, Anirudh receives a call from his uncle and has a brief conversation with him before his young niece Appu takes over the phone. She reminds him of his promise and asks for her gift, which he promises to fulfill. Appu then gives back the phone and leaves.
Appu falls into the river, and Dadi quickly calls for help. As Appu starts to sink, Uncle pulls her out of the water. They all express their concern for Appu’s well-being. Thankfully, she regains consciousness and expresses her desire also to put a diya in the river. Her mother lovingly kisses her.
Meanwhile, Jhanak arrives at the festival venue, and Rahul kindly retrieves a form for her. When asked about their presentation, Jhanak confidently states they will perform a dance routine. However, the lady explained that including Jhanak’s father’s name on the form was necessary; otherwise, it would be rejected. Jhanak suggests writing her mother’s name instead, but the man reminds her that her father is still alive. Unwilling to back down, Jhanak receives support from fellow students who know her story. But the man remains firm and advises against participating in the event altogether.
Shrishti and Vinayak welcome Arshi’s Nani, who inquires about Urvashi’s whereabouts. Arshi embraces her grandmother while Shrishti introduces Anirudh. Nani blesses him, and Anirudh’s family members are introduced. Jhanak’s friends defend her, and she explains that if her father rejects her, it is not her fault. A woman questions whether Jhanak knows her father’s name, to which she responds no, highlighting how many men abandon their families, but their children still know their names. Suddenly, Mama calls for Urvashi, and Shrishti glances at her. Mama instructs Urvashi to bring the bags, but Shrishti stops her. Finally, Urvashi greets everyone.
Shrishti makes a mocking comment towards Urvashi, causing Mama to laugh and insult her. This upsets Vinayak, while Urvashi offers to fetch the bags. However, Shrishti intervenes, reminding Urvashi of Jhanak’s supposed whereabouts and attitude. Worried about Jhanak’s behavior, Mama urges Urvashi to keep a close eye on her and ensure she doesn’t repeat dramatic actions. In support of Jhanak, Nani suggests sending her to retrieve the bags instead. Anirudh notices Urvashi heading towards the bags and offers to take care of it, but Mama insists that she handle it since it is her responsibility. Despite Anirudh’s offer to help, Urvashi remains determined to carry out her task.
Anirudh’s family gathers at the ghat for the puja. He and Arshi join in the festivities with their loved ones. Urvashi expresses her joy for Arshi as she has found an excellent partner. Jhanak, on the other hand, doesn’t have marriage on her mind; all Urvashi wants her to find happiness and respect. Nani reminds everyone that Anirudh lives close by. Shrishti chimes in, saying they can quickly drop by to see Arshi anytime. Vinayak mentions that Anirudh’s job may transfer him to the US soon. Mama compliments Anirudh for successfully setting up his sister’s future while slyly poking fun at Urvashi’s daughter. This sparks a negative response from some family members towards Jhanak. In response, Urvashi states she will scold Jhanak once she arrives, and Mama questions who will take care of everything here in her absence.
Nani tells Urvashi and Jhanak to leave the house. Shrishti asks, “You’ve defamed the family, I have a reputation, think about this family, is Jhanak following you?”. When Jhanak comes home, she says Bharat Mama might have told Urvashi everything. Mami sees Jhanak and is angry. Urvashi asks Jhanak where you are. Shrishti stops Vinayak. Everyone looks on and smiles.
She gets a stick and beats Jhanak on her legs. Everyone looks on. Anirudh says don’t beat her, it’s not right. Urvashi says no one will stop her. She claims you don’t know our status in this house. She asks why you stopped, beat me, I should have remembered my status in this house, how did I go to college and see big dreams, please beat me, I have hurt your heart, beat me and kill me. She cries.
